Madame Medusa, villain of "The Rescuers"
Madame Medusa is the primary villain in The Rescuers. She needs a small chiled to go into a cave to find a gem so she "adopts" Penny from an orphanage. Penny is forced to go down into the cave to find the gem, with Miss Bianca and Bernard hiding in her skirt pocket. The three find the stone in a pirate skull as the ocean tide rises and floods the cave. Miss Bianca, Penny, and Bernard barely manage to retrieve the diamond and escape.
Medusa takes the diamond, rather than share it with Snoops (the incompetent villain) as she had promised. She hides it in Penny's teddy bear; as she is running away from Penny and Mr. Snoops, Bernard and Miss Bianca trip her and she loses her grip on the bear so that Penny can grab the bear and run away. All ends well for the good guys as Medusa is tricked by Bernard and Miss Bianca into a cage-like elevator, trapping them.
